9/21 Sunset to 9/22 Sunrise: Dream Chronicle

In this dream, I was in a high-rise building inside a room. The room was boarded up by the president, almost as if he wanted to silence me and keep me hidden.

In the next scene, I saw a group of people—including myself—locked in a room. It felt like a holding cell. The walls were made of wood, and it wasn’t on the ground floor but in an upper room. Suddenly, the room was consumed by extreme heat and fire.

I could see the fire burning from the outside, like watching a church engulfed in flames. Yet, when the fire finally dissipated, every person inside was still alive. Everything in the room had been destroyed, even their old clothes, but now each one stood clothed in pure white linen (Revelation 19:8).

My mind immediately went to the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3. Their refusal to bow before Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image led them into the fiery furnace—a place of judgment and trial. Yet, in the midst of the flames, a fourth figure appeared—One like the Son of God (Daniel 3:25). This is a powerful reminder that God steps into the very center of the fire to preserve His faithful.

The Lord Himself says,

"When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
 (Isaiah 43:2–3)

This dream confirms that we are entering a time of refinement. The trials and persecutions will intensify, but God’s people will not be consumed by the fire of affliction. Instead, the consuming fire of the Lord (Deuteronomy 4:24; Hebrews 12:29) will burn away what is old, leaving only what is pure and holy.

I sense the Lord is showing us that though everything around us may be shaken, He will always be with us in the midst of the fire, and He will deliver His people.

Amen.
