The Silver Coin and the Golden Tools
The Lord, in His kindness, has given me two dreams that confirm the pattern He has been revealing.
In the first, I was led to offer a silver coin to someone in need and to tell them to “keep the change.” This act serves as a picture of the foundational work of redemption and the surplus of grace that must always come first.
Later, I was given a second dream. A figure clothed in pure white presented me with tools for service: two golden knives, each with a unique and intricate design, and a single, golden bell. In the dream, I gave one of these ornate knives to my wife, who represents the Bride. This reveals that the work of precise, spiritual separation is a priestly role meant to be both modeled and shared, actively equipping the wider body of believers to join in this holy work. The single bell, however, remained with me, indicating a specific responsibility to sound a clear, focused proclamation at the Lord’s appointed times.
These tools—the knives for the shared work of separation and the bell for the work of announcement—are not for my own purpose. They have been entrusted to me for a singular role: to serve in the preparation of His people for what is to come. The figure in white served as the quiet assurance that this calling and the grace for it originate from Him alone.
Amen
